Being creative with fruits

I started creating figures out of the fruits that he would leave behind

It was the annual arts & crafts competition at my son’s school. Life every mother, it was me who would think of the idea and execute it year on year. But like every 12 year old, my son had started opining this time. He wanted something starkly different. Hell, he almost behaved like my client, rejecting every idea I proposed!
I was running out of ideas. Frustration was looming large on me. Especially in the mornings, when he used to leave his breakfast unfinished. The uneaten fruits on his plate gave me a graver cause of concern. And voila, that very sight led me to a brilliant idea.
I started creating figures out of the fruits that he would leave behind. Add a few more here and there and I would get very interesting figures. From animals to cartoon characters to daily objects, the figures came out really well and with proper refrigeration would stay fresh for long.
I presented couple of boards to him one day, when he came back from school. As expected, he just loved it! He was excited to present it to his teacher and mates the next day. The effort came out to be ‘fruitful’. He not only bagged the prize but started developing a fondness for fruits too!
